Activity Led Reform
Children and young people thrive when they are given opportunities to take part in purposeful, enjoyable activities. The Activity Led Reform model places these experiences at the centre of care, using them to encourage personal growth, build resilience and support positive behaviour.
Activities provide structure and consistency while also giving young people the chance to discover new skills and interests. From creative projects to sports and community involvement, each activity is designed to help them develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.
Activities provide structure and consistency while also giving young people the chance to discover new skills and interests. From creative projects to sports and community involvement, each activity is designed to help them develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.
Our approach includes:
- Building routine through regular daily activities that promote stability
- Encouraging expression with art, music and drama as safe outlets for emotions
- Promoting health and well-being through exercise, outdoor activities and balanced routines
- Developing independence with practical experiences such as cooking, gardening and budgeting
- Strengthening community connections through outings, volunteering and local events
By making activities an everyday part of life, we help children and young people experience success, find joy in achievement and see themselves in a more positive light.
